PIDT Blog
  • Install Wordpress on IDT server. - JP - Completed
  • URL for PIDT blog should be http://pidt.memphis.edu/blog - JP Completed
  • Setup/Admin the PIDT Blog settings - Mims - Completed
  • People are reporting issues with setting up their blog accounts. Many are not getting their email confirmation. - JP - the email function of the IDT server may have a problem, I will try to go to the lab to fix it. Until I fix the emaill function, please set the password menually and send it to each registered user.
  • The server is reporting that many of the folders inside of the WP installation are not writable. - WP - If you find this issue again, let me know. I will fix it.
  • Login to the WP admin, go to the Security tab and address the security issues listed there. - JP - ok
  • The Gallery folders are not holding very many files. 100 MB limit. Can we increase the file space? - JP - I think the limit is for one single file.
  • Setup the Live Blogging events - Mims
  • Download and install this extension: NextGEN Gallery. I keep having trouble uploading it. Note that you may need to delete previous attempts to install this in the blog/wp-content/plugins folder. - JP Completed
  • Extend the NextGen Gallery as described here using the imagerotator.swf from the Image Rotator plugin. Completed
  • Delete the "trash-imagerotator" folder from the plugins folder. Again, I'm having problems being able to do this. - JP Completed

  • Put schedule on wiki to serve as an editable TOC and organizer - JP or Fethi Completed
  • Assign session ID numbers (ex.: Session 01) to each of the presentations so that it will be easier to add wiki pages, tag information, etc. - Fethi Completed
  • Add CreativeCommons license to wiki (same as blog) - Fethi
